Take this exclusive private guided day tour with our expert local guide, to experience it crowd free. All our tours include lunch, a drink and your entrance tickets.

Many people do not know that Stonehenge is part of a much wider site. A place of ancient burial mounds and earthworks. We love Stonehenge and have been visiting it for over 30 years. Let us reveal to you the stories behind the stones.

You’ll combine your tour of Stonehenge with a visit to the stunning local Wiltshire villages which are hidden gems, off the typical tourist trail, and enjoy a delicious pub lunch. (included)

Price:-   2 guests £485 per person, 4 guests £396 per person, 6 guests £298 per person, inclusive of light pub lunch and a drink and all entrance tickets. 

Included:- Pick up and return to Chippenham Train Station (for connections to London Paddington in 66 minutes),  if you prefer a chauffeured car to and from London / Bath or your accommodation please let us know, a warm expert local driver guide for the day, all entrance tickets to Stonehenge, travel, a day’s private tour for your party, incorporating Stonehenge, hidden local villages and a light pub lunch and drink.

Pick up

From Bath – 9 am
From London – 9.30 am from Chippenham Train Station (connections to London Paddington in 66 minutes)
 If you prefer a chauffeured car to meet you at your accommodation in London, Bath or elsewhere please let us know.

Return

To Bath or Chippenham Train Station 5 to 5.30 pm. Alternatively we can return you to your accommodation by chauffeured car.

Refreshments and Tickets included

Tickets for Stonehenge are included. So is a light lunch and drink at a lovely country pub. 

Availability

This private tour is available to book all week, Sunday through to Saturday for 1 to 6 guests.

FAQs about this tour

Your entrance tickets to Stonehenge are included as part of your Drive and Stroll tour.

It really is up to you! If you are happy walking a total of 2 miles (1 hour) then you will have a fabulous, crowd free experience of the stones and walk the ceremonial path as they did in ancient times. Of course if you prefer not to stroll let us know.

We can flex to suit you. We suggest a pick up and drop off at Chippenham train station if you are arriving from London by train (it’s 66 minutes from London Paddington). Alternatively we can arrange a chauffeured pick up from Bath or London,  or your accommodation. Please simply ask us for details and a price.

We have two vehicles. An electric Kia car which can welcome 3 guests. Also an 8 seater vehicle which can accommodate 6 guests with luggage and 7 guests without luggage.

The earlier ahead you can book, the more likely you are to have availability. We do also welcome later bookings and will take you if we can.

Itinerary

9.30 am You’ll be personally met and welcomed at Chippenham train station (direct trains to London Paddington in 1 hour 10 minutes) or from your accommodation by your own private driver guide.

Take a scenic drive through local Wiltshire villages to reach Stonehenge visitor centre

Head through gorgeous hidden Wiltshire villages with time to get out and stroll. Plenty of pretty thatched cottages and ancient churches that sit well off the beaten track and typical tourist trails.

12.30 pm Lunch at a country pub

With either an optional 2 mile or 3 mile walk we can walk to the stones at Stonehenge for a wonderful crowd free experience and spectacular views of the stones. Your guide will tell you the stories of the site. Just let us know if you prefer not to take this walk.

5 pm to 5.30 pm Drive back to Chippenham train station or to your accommodation, relaxed, with a head full of memories.
