Landscapes and Seascapes of Dorset Tour
Last week David and I (Alison) spent two days in Dorset putting together our new Landscapes and Seascapes of Dorset Tour. Here is a write up from day two.
We woke to the sound of the waves pummeling the beach below. Downstairs for a fantastic breakfast. I had scrambled eggs on Sourdough toast with bacon and baked tomatoes but there was a wide choice.Oh and hot coffee.

The sun came out which transformed the view, so we took Molly our mascot, down onto the beach for a short walk. Molly joins us on our recce trips but stays at home when we are accompanying guests!
The views were spectacular.
Jumping in the car we settled down to create the rest of the days tour. We visited small Dorset villages and a larger town with amazing stories and history. The views of the coast and inland greenery were so good I said ‘wow’ out loud several times – even though I had seen them before.
We saw thatched Dorset cottages, with a thatcher creating a roof, a castle, beautiful villages.
Plenty of opportunities to get out of the car and enjoy a short stroll. And to hear the areas wonderful stories from iron age hill forts to smuggling in the 18 th and 19 th centuries.
A few tweaks and we had day two of the tour wrapped up.
Dorset Landscapes and Seascapes of Dorset is a 2 night 2/ 3 day tour which takes you along the Jurassic Coast from Lyme Regis to Studland. It can also be a custom made tour.
